Istar plans to introduce the widest selection of lens-based optical systems ever offered by a single manufacturer - from an inexpensive, medium-sized achromatic telescope through to large Fluorite, Lanthanum and ED glass Apochromats, Super Apochromats, multi-element Astrographs, correctors and reducers.
There are several new products close to production, including two versions of Super Achromatic and Semi Apochromatic doublets offering 30 and 50 percent reduction in chromatic aberration, and substantially smaller spot size, compared to most common achromats on the market. There will also shortly be available a new line of Apochromat Triplets in sizes from 144mm to 180mm, 6-element Super Apochromat astrographs, SCT correctors, and many other exciting products.
All ISTAR products are individually made, not mass produced. Each telescope and optical system is custom-designed and hand built.
Also available is custom optical design and manufacture for specific customer projects.
